The weather's been wet and miserable all day, so I stayed indoors for today's photo shoot. After my failures and frustrations yesterday, I wanted to have a second stab at some 'action' shots.
Being indoors and not wanting to use artificial lighting meant I could try some long (5-second) exposures and go for the whole motion blur effect, (as suggested by Angie). I decided to take some shots of myself moving into yoga poses. Pookie came to see what I was doing and rolled around on the floor with me, which added to the fun. :-)
I got two shots that I think work okay:
And here's the first shot again, this time as a colour negative.
very cool!! I love these.
ReplyDeleteFabulous, especially the first one which really works because you have the sharp image Pookie against the moving image of you (looking very flexible and athletic - note to self: get fitter!)
ReplyDeleteInteresting--I haven't a clue as to how you are taking those, but they are "cool". Isn't it fun to "mess around" and try different things. Have a pleasant day. Mickie :)
ReplyDeleteWonderful effect. I like the first one because you are moving and the cat is still.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the comments, folks!
ReplyDeleteMickie, here's how I took these shots: To get a long exposure time I set the ISO to 100 and the aperture to f22. This gave me a shutter speed of 5 seconds. I put the camera on a tripod and used the delayed shutter release to give myself time to get into the frame.
