Day 92

Well, would you believe it?  I'm one quarter of the way through the project!

To mark today's milestone I thought I'd do something I've not tried before: capturing the feeling of movement through blur. Here's my cat, Pookie, chasing her tail.

It's not worked particularly well, but I'll continue to practise this technique, and I'll let you know if I come up with something better before the end of the project. If you've got a link to a cool blurry motion photo, I'd love to know; please post it in the comments below.

  1. Wonderful motion. This is a technique that I have tried but not been pleased with the results. This http://www.flickr.com/photos/sharonuk08/5478707885/ is the closest I have come. Not even sure if it counts LOL.

  2. It DEFINITELY counts - it's so crisp, and yet you've caught the motion in the gull's wings. Great shot!

  3. Love this Helen, and CONGRATULATIONS on being one quarter of the way through. As you've probably found, it takes a lot of determination some days, but you are doing it!!

  4. Thanks for your encouragement, Lisa! I've not found motivation a problem - I'm always happy to drop whatever I'm doing and go and muck about with the camera - but on days when I'm less than happy with my results it can be difficult to summon up the courage to share them.
