Day 160

We've had gales and torrential rain all day today, so I had a go at taking some more shots of the flowers I bought on Saturday. This time I tried spraying them with water, for the 'just after the rain' look. What I had in my mind were macro shots, but not having a macro lens, I had to make do with simple close-ups.

More bad weather is forecast for the rest of the week, so the next few days are going to feature a lot of still life, indoor shots. These are not the sort of shots I normally like taking, so I'm going to have to push myself outside my comfort zone.

  1. Great idea with the water spray and it works really well. I don't have a macro lens either but am managing to get by like you are. We haven't had rain for nearly 2 months now!!

  2. Beautiful, Helen! Particularly love the flower - is it a freesia?

Keep banging on about that macro lens ... Iain's bound to get the message eventually!
