Day 175

Iain brought home some gerberas today, and even though it was after dark, I had to have a go at shooting them. So I got the tripod out and tried backlighting the flowers with a desk lamp.

I got one shot I like, but I can't decide which of these versions to go for. Could you help me out by letting me know which one you prefer? Thanks!

Version 1 ('Vanilla' processing)

Version 2 (bleach bypass)

Version 3 (black and white)

Version 4 (selenium tone)

  4. That backlighting works beautifully! I think, despite my love of b&w, I like the naturally coloured first one best. It seems to show the light better.

  5. I have to go with #2. I like the back lighting effect and the faint amount of color.

  7. Thanks for taking time to give feedback, folks. I really appreciate it.

I think I'm gradually leaning more towards versions 2 & 4, because I like the softness they have, but I like version 1 as well. The only version I've decided is out of the race is version 3, the black and white one. Maybe I should keep the three I like and make them into a triptych!
